Went to 2 different English classes today...one with my 2nd class and one with my 1ere....In my class with the 2nds we got back our tests from last week. I failed. 13/20...I have never done so bad on an english test in my life. The french kid next to me did better. I got crap for it all day and they offered to help me out, so...thanks to the french students, I will learn english. ha. Quel honte!
The class with the 1eres was really funny too. The teacher didnt show for like the first 20 minutes and nobody really cared. At Forest Ridge, a replacement would be sent in before anybody noticed the teacher was gone...if not, the students wouldn't just sit around...most likely at FR you find at least a few that flip out at the lack of structure and go find someone to boss us around. But here people just go with the flow. She eventually showed up...not before a few students had left to smoke and never came back, but at least she came, right? They are giving presentations in English and get extra points for using bizarre English phrases, so I heard "I'm keeping my fingers crossed" and "It will cost an arm and a leg" at least 20 times. My favorite was this kid Aymeric. He is really nice, a funny kid, and wears his head phones like a necklace. During his presentation, he forgot the word for "Friday". He struggled for a good 10 seconds before you could just see the screw it expression on his face and he went for "the day before Saturday"...i dont know...it was funny...
...maybe you had to be there.
