This morning it snowed like crazy here! :) Well...crazy meaning we had about a centimeter of white stuff on the ground, but for Nantes, that is major news. It was so much fun. I had my last ice-skating class this morning and was super late because I spent the morning slipping and sliding my way down icy streets to the ice-rink. When I finally got there all of the doors were locked and I had to find my way through this sketchy backdoor entrance to meet up with my class, who, (as usual at La Perverie) had not yet noticed my absence.
Ice-skating was great! I can now skate backwards, balance (pshhh...not so much) on one foot, and cross my feet to "conserve vitesse" on my turns. I am definitely going to miss being able to go ice-skating every week for a grade.
The trip back to school was hilarious. There was still snow on the groud so we had a HUGE bataille de neige. At first, I thought I would evade the major fighting by playing photographer. I took a nice neutral position and played nice, hoping that would save me. But no, just when I thought I was safe, my friend Quentin came up behind me and shoved a huge handfull of snow down my back. The war was on. By the time we made it back to school a trip that should have taken 10 minutes tops had turned into a 30 minute adventure. I am going to miss my class so much!
