les machines de l'ile

Aujourd'hui, Capucine and I went to visit the famous "machines" located on Nantes' major island in the middle of the Loire. The machines are giant animals that were built for no apparent reason, the most famous of which being a three-story tall elephant. Tourists hand over major euros to wait in line for an hour before mounting the giant beast and riding it around the block. Capucine and I opted to go into the gallery and look at the other, smaller, machines and just watch the elephant do it's thing from afar. Check it out: http://www.lesmachines-nantes.fr/elephant.html

A little bizarre....but we had tons (l'elephant happens to be 50 tons) of fun! :)
