Today my english class went out to see the movie Invictus. (In English, with French subtitles to help them work on their language) I came along for the party! :)
We took the tram to the movie theater and went out for lunch at a Japanese restaurant. It was good, but I think that we can do better, as far as sushi goes, back home in Seattle. It was a lot of fun though! The movie was really good too. The level of organization for activities is so different here, though. I don't think the teacher took roll once. All of the students were just expected to get there and get home on their own. I still wonder if she would have noticed if we just decided we weren't interested...? Hmm...
The funniest part is that after the movie, literally everyone asked me if I understood it....at first I thought they were joking. Yes, that's right...I DO know how to speak English? But the amount of times I was asked and the seriousness of their tone really made me question? Maybe I still don't understand French humor?
